Self-Proclaimed ‘Vampire’ Bites Man’s Face

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Police say a woman told a 69-year-old St. Petersburg man she was a vampire before biting off chunks of his face and part of his lip.

Milton Ellis told police Thursday he was sleeping in his motorized wheelchair on the porch of a vacant Hooters when the attack happened.

Police spokesman Mike Puetz says the man woke up to find 22-year-old Josephine Rebecca Smith on top of him. Ellis escaped after the attack and called police. Police found Smith at the restaurant, half naked and covered in blood.

The injuries to Ellis required stitiches.

The St. Petersburg Times Smith, of Pensacola, told police she had no idea what happened.

She was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery on an elderly person. Bail was set at $50,000.

Police in Standoff With Armed Man in California

Oakland – Police are in a standoff with an armed suspect disguised as a film character who is holed up inside an Office Depot store in northern California.

Police tell the Oakland Tribune that four people had been held hostage late Friday but were released unharmed.

The Oakland police dispatch office told The Associated Press early Saturday that the standoff was still going on, but declined to say anything regarding hostages.

The office said numerous officers were at the scene and there have been no injuries.

Police say they first responded shortly before 10 p.m. Friday to check on a report that the Emeryville store had been left open and discovered the presence of the suspect.

Streets in the area were closed off the parking lots that surround the cluster of large stores on the Emeryville-Oakland border.

The Tribune says police described the suspect as wearing a Guy Fawkes mask from the action film "V for Vendetta" and armed with a handgun.

I wouldn't put it past the government to use this as an excuse to pursue anyone associated with anonymous even moreso than now maybe even passing a new bill to do so. For all we know the government prolly raided a mental hospital gave some patient the mask and a handgun then dropped him off at the mall.
All in hopes of putting something under control that wasn't prior. Imagine tomorrow if another terrorist attack happens and they say it was anonymous i see little hope for internet anonymity in the future if that happens
