Thread: Flashing an xbox 360

I have a CFW ps3 and now im looking to get an xbox also. It seems like theres so many ways and a lot harder than the ps3. Anyone who has done it is there any NEED TO KNOW things before I start? im in the thinking stages I havent purchased one yet.

Well since no one else is gonna help ya, I will toss a few things your way.

1. Avoid getting a slim to flash if you can. They are the hardest drive to flash right now because of how you have to do it. (googling xbox 360 winbond hack should give you an idea of what needs to be done for it)

2. You can mod a 360 with no tools or next to no tools if you make your own. I suggest getting at least a usb ck3 pro or a maximus lizard as they make things a lot easier. You will also need a probe of sorts as well. you can easily make one of your own though. Just google homeade PMT probe. Depending on what you get, you may need to get a VIA 6421 raid controller card. (it's easier to know what to get once you know how you are going to go about modding the 360)

3. This will be my best advice of all. Wait for xbox360iso(dot)com to come back up and ask this question there. The people there can give you a lot better advice on what you will need than I can. Some of them flash drives almost daily.

Feel free to tell them kirkyeehee sent ya, maybe they will go easy on ya then lol.

There are other methods to flashing, but I won't get into those here as, some are still under development. (like the reset glitch hack for example.) Anyway, hope to see you on xbox360iso once it's up again lol. I'll be looking for this thread on there.

if you go to 360iso just don't mention your ps3! they will flame you worse than coragin on adderall after stubbing his toe.

i personally did my first jtag following there guides and a lil help in the forums a few months ago at the cost of the console and about £6 for the bits when i say jtag i mean the hack i used on my fat 360 theres a couple ways to hack an xbox pm me for more help if u get lost
