Thread: Just thinking out loud.......

Why is it in the PS3 scene, it's so many people ready to call poeple "noobs" and then be so mean with everything you say to people just asking questions? I know the same "where is CFW?" question gets old but why be mean about it? This personally never happen to me, but I've been in the Wii, 360, PS2, and now this one and none of those are about belittling and not releasing information. Even the PC scene drops games and cracks to people at will. I appreciate the people helping in all the different scene sites, but the information withholders and ignorant "just joining a website around the time the jailbreak happened people who are just being mean on the internet, because they are PUNKA**es in REAL LIFE is crazy!" I personally don't care who flame me (F*** U) I bet you won't tell me in real life to my face. Sorry to the mods for my language but wonder why our scene is the way it is...........................................

I think its honestly because of several reasons: 1. people are tired of answering the same questions when the person wants it spoonfed and all they have to do is search 2. people have an ego bigger than their weiner and love to put people down 3. the dev's sometimes don't release stuff either because of reason number 2 or because they get 3,000 emails of people asking for whatever project they're withholding. although I don't agree with it or like it this is sadly the way it is

@havok7, LOl, but seriously though. @alien, I believe you're right that's why I never asked about CFW or bugged any devs or nothing. In no other scene I had ever did that and I won't start for this one.

Sorry you feel that way dude. I didnt think our site was that bad with the noob bashing, if someone is totally out of line then please report them. Or PM me if you have any problems, because I hate to see members feel like they cant speak there mind because they dont want to feel like a noob. Noob is a misunderstood term anyway and some people take it the wrong way. I believe a noob is someone that acts all high and mighty but doesnt really know anything at all, they deserve to be called noob. Not the new people that ask the same question 100 times and dont have the common knowledge to read before they post. There just a little lost and need guidance, they dont need to be flamed. Sorry that I went off topic from your post but im just trying to show everyone that me, some of the senior members, and the rest of the staff are here to help and inform our fellow members. The members who flame and scare away our junior members should be reported immediately.

If they truly do not know, then they should be enlightened, not bashed. But some people can be truly lazy and do not want to use google or search. I've seen threads where people ask question that was answered in bold in the first post. Other times many don't use common sense. For example if Square was to come out with a new version of snes9x ps3 today and the description was that it was an emulator that played snes roms, somebody might ask "will this let me play portal 2?" If somebody says "No, it only plays snes games." The person then says "this is useless!" That person would be a newb and leecher whereas the unenlightened are greenhorns. That is forgivable, we were all green at one point, but leechers who are never satisfied and noobs who are too lazy to even look are not as forgivable and deserve a little bashing if only to discipline them.
