Default Will this work? Ps3 & Wii??

    Hi.

I want to connect my 2 TB hard drive to both my wii and ps3. I have formatted it into 2 1GB partitions, one WBFS for the Wii and one Fat32 for the PS3. Can i just use a y-cable to connect both (it has a seperate powercord), or will it work through a usb hub? Or not at all?

USB Hub won't work. If it did, loading times would drastically increase. y-cable probably would, don't take my word for it.

I tend to just get off my *** and switch the plug though.

i want to do something like that too... i would suggest keeping the original 2TB Partition and converting your wii .iso to .wbfs, those will be compatible with USB Loader GX and you place them in a wbfs folder on a fat32 partition

Yeah, I too would recommend just having one big FAT32 partition then having a wbfs folder on your HDD for Wii games and Configurable USB Loader (CFG USB Loader) on your wii for booting your games and your normal directories for your PS3. Shouldn't interfere with each other then! :D

I am using 1 harddrive for both wii and ps3. 1 partition 2tb Fat32 wbfs folder for wii games in .wbfs format. use wii backup manager. make a folder on harddrive called Games for the ps3. both work fine.

if using a "Y" cable don't turn both consoles on at the same time! and be sure that the cable supports data through both ways. most only have a seccond cable for power.

use WBFS manager for this. if you don't have a wbfs partition it saves isos to the disk in that form. though if you are using usb loader GX or another one with no fat32 support you should use the partition(though I doubt you'll ever fill 1TB with wii games)
