iv just got a droid after a few years of iphone and fancied a change , id say the iphone is better but android isnt far behind

I know it is easy to jailbreak an iphone. But how about droid.

The droid is better in the fact that the battery lasts longer.
It has a comparable amount of games and apps.
With a droid you are not stuck with AT&T or Verizon, I know you can unlock an iphone and use other services but often you lose some features when doing so.

Older versions of android OS can be "rooted" pretty easily with Gingerbreak, they are making a new version that works on newer versions of the os.

Android OS is linux based (download a terminal app to see for yourself).

You don't really need to root your device to install a lot of the cracked games/apps, it's mostly so you can uninstall the crap your provider puts on it.

Rooting a droid and installing a custom ROM, like any of the new Gingerbread 2.3.x that are available, will improve performance AND battery life. I have a MyTouch 4G running RoaylGinger 2.3.4 and it friggin rocks. It is overclocked and the battery lasts 25% longer than stock.

Can I use Droid apps with a LG Prime GS390?
