yeah i have to agree, flashing it isn't as hard as it sounds. in fact if he has a ben-q or samsung drive things just got a hell of a lot easier because he won't have to buy the probe. Or your friend can go on craigslist and just buy one, my first modded console was purchased for $100.00 which was a steal really, plus he can use his regular 360 as a backup console.

I would say that the Liteon 8-series V1 is easy to flash. That was the first xbox I ever flashed.

I have a question. Is there another method to use instead of the MRA method on the V2 Liteons that doesn't require soldering or trace cutting?

Yup he's exactly right with the new probe v3 there is no need for soldering or trace cutting, or you can go with the maximus lizard line of products. Whichever floats your boat really.

Thanks. I remember a while ago there was a thread on 360iso about a new device that would eliminate the need for soldering/trace cutting.

I was wondering if it came out because I called a guy from craigslist about modding mine because i'm on LT and I lost the key, and he said he didn't need to cut a trace or solder anything and that it was the old way.

lol I'll purchase this and do it myself before I pay him 30$ to do it.
