Thread: help buying a ps3

i just found a 80gb fat ps3 with blackops and modern warfare 2 for $125.00 with free dhl shipping and i wanted to know if i should buy it or not .....the seller says its in mint condition but ive heard that before......but from the pics he has shown it looks like hes telling the truth but what do u guys think

whats the difference between a fat and a slim besides the size

The fat is more likely to get YLOD (Yellow Light of Death).

That's a nice deal...a bit TOO nice. I'd just get a slim tbh...the fat hes selling you is probably damaged someway internally or externally.

i have a fat and a slim...the fat is noisy and older so i use it for retail games and psn since i believe it wont last very long..the fat are noisy and hot...the slim is new and nowhere as hot as the fat and i hear nothing from it..so i jb it and threw a 750g hd in it and i cant complain..as far as looks id go with the fat, but too many people complain about the ylod on fats..125 is a good deal, but if you want to go used youd be better getting a refurbished from gamestop..its not much more than that with the smallest hdd they have, and they give you a warrenty so you can bring it back if it messes up...or wait until they make the new ps3 and then they both will drop in price
