Thread: Anyone else getting ads randomly?

I figured it might have been my browser, but usually when that happens it infects more than one site. Anyone encountered this Ads By Gunggo thing?

i got it when i came to the site i had to sign back in too
same thing on wiiso.com.

its soooo annoying it pops up on every link on the site im thinking about not coming to this site for a while till they fix this mess of a site

yea....its just there for me till i login....it doesnt happen for the sub sections of the forum i gues...
it appears only when you enter ps3iso..

I'm getting them every time I load a page.
I assume the server admins put them there because everyone is blocking the normal ads.
They are a minor annoyance when trying to browse and post, they are an extreme annoyance when trying to moderate the site.

I'm getting them a lot, going to leave the site for a week or so to see if they are gone by then.

Ads pay the bills, people block the ads, new ad formats are implemented.
People stop blocking the ads and it'll probably (I hope) go back to how it was.

I suppose, but it's just annoying to have a 10 second long blank page when trying to do anything. I don't download at all from here, I just upload and work on psn games and the like, so it's just not worth it. I can't browse without having at least 3 of these 10 seconds breaks. Truth is, an overly aggressive ad program like this will kill the forum.

I just removed it from my whitelist on chrome, not seeing it anymore. I never blocked any of the other ads, though.
