Actually, MU and its download limits change for non-premium users from week to week. It used to be set at 5GB daily but not too long ago I went over 10GB for a 24-hour period. The other day it was back to 5GB daily limit. Next week they might allow 10GB+ for a short period of time.

It varies with MU. I will say MU is very good with download speeds for non-premium users when using something like JDownloader or any other download accelerator. You don't have to use the method mentioned in this thread if you're using JDownloader to accept your links. You might still hit download limits though but speeds are pretty good.
