Thread: false e-mails

Hello,people,I want to ask You something that is not connected with games and PlayStation.I have received some e-mails lately which says that I have won a lot of money and other that says I've won visa(green card).Do any of You have this experience and are these e-mails false(I think they are)...

If you get an email saying you have won anything that you didn't even sign up for then it is 100% fake.

I personally get emails all the time stating I have one the UK internet lottery of 150 million pounds, or the FBI is holding a check for $10 million from some Arab diplomat or oil baron or long lost relative.

Your first give away that it is fake is that the message comes from a free email provider or the server (address@server.com) is non-existent (has no website associated with it).
Or sometimes they even come addressed from your own email address.

these e-mails draw you in and the person who sent you them always wants to obtain something from you and you will never gain anything from them 9 times out of 10 you lose and they take money or something from you. All in all its a lost cause

I also get a lot of messages from Nigerian Princes and rich Saudi oil barons about transferring money. I sometimes reply with 'How's the weather in Ghana these days?' lol. Unfortunately these kind of people have ruined the likes of gumtree :/
