yeah, i would prefer XP also. Not only it's easy to use, but it also has a lot of features and its compatibility is just amazing.

only played up to 4, so 5th one isn't there yet

stability wise for me I was forced to switch to xp from vista on my brand new laptop since vista enjoyed killing itself every week (litterally). Put XP64 on it and had no problems since. The only advantage to vista is directx10 if you enjoy slow but pretty games. In order to really use those directx10 games to make them playable though I would suggest a SLI/CrossFire configuration with at least 4 gigs of ram and a 3.0 ghz dual core or higher. Though some have gotten directx 10 to work in windows XP using a custom hacked out version of directx 10. Personally speaking, if all games made a linux port I wouldn't be on windows for anything. But as we all know, that isn't going to happen for some time.

I agree with Rabid, I'd abandon Windows if they'd port the games/apps I use to Mac OSX.

I haven't used Vista all that much, only at work but I've used it enough to know I'd never want to run it on any of my computers.

I've owned this laptop I am on for over 2 years and I've always run XP on it without any problems. I suppose that's why I don't see any reason to switch, the old "don't fix what ain't broke" cliche.
