we'll see once it's officially "out". I give os'es a 1 year burn in before I even concider them to see what kind of problems people are having first. If it looks like more of a pain than it's worth I stick with what I have. Though personally, if it can beat xp64 on performance I will gladly switch. ATM I'm using more linux than windows since I've been playing most of my games on my 360. But I'm kinda rooting for M$ to get this right since I can't hate the company too much that gave me windows 98 or xp.

The biggest "fsck"ing issue they gotta fix though is their filesystem. If you shut off a linux computer improperly you don't get the file corruption you do in windows. That's because linux uses a journaling filesystem while windows has stuck to it's (insanely easy to break) ntfs filesystem. If they can somehow get a file system like ext3 I'm sure windows would be at least another 20% more stable than it is now.

ps. fsck is the linux app to check a partition for errors on a hard drive

XP from last year is not the same as XP today, much had changed.
