    Default My ps2 is toast

Yay, my ps2 slim's laser is broken now. It kicked the bucket while it was playing a cartoon movie for my son. Friggan awesome. I sooo love the fact that every ps2 (I think this is my 8th) I have ever bought lasts me for about a year before it toasts itself. Such quality fuggin craftsmanship (this is the first one I ever used backups on) from sony. And they wonder why I'm not going to get a ps3.

What this means for you, the leecher:

My thread will have no updates until I get another ps2 obviously since I can't test the iso's. I can't convert my cd's to dvd's on the oneechabara games since I can't test...

Your problem is you watch dvd movies(?) on the ps2.
Although it has the ability to you really shouldn't.
I have only had 2 ps2's since they first came out and that is only because I wanted to upgrade to the slim.

I've had my PS2 since 2001, and bought a second one for my son in 2005. I've opened both up and cleaned inside them twice. One of them was in my Rig' when I drove it off a fifty foot raveen and has some scratches, chips, and little pieces missing! Both are picky about playing DVD movies and PSX games but play PS2 games and ISO's great!
