Rather than ask in every uploaders thread I thought i'd ask for some help here.

I've tried a copy of the game of the year version off of this site but it had a file that was 8gb so I tried the game without that file & after installing the two fixes that came with the download but the game only goes to the spinning ring in the corner but won't go any further. I tried it before installing the fixes but it did the same thing.

I also downloaded a copy from another site of the original game (a ripped version) that had no files over 4gb but that got to the screen with the spinning ring then it went to a black screen.

Is there a copy that I can download for my son that will actually work? If there is can someone link me to it or tell me which thread it's in or is there something I can do to either of the versions i've got to make either of them work?
