Thread: Open PS2 Loader help...

I've read every single tutorial on sksapps and google on how to structure my usb drive for OPL to read it, yet every time I plug it in OPL on my ps2 just sits there and nothing happens. It is my first time trying to get this to work. Latest OPL, 0.8.

Here we go, my drive is partitioned, 1 NTFS partition and 1 FAT32 partition.
On the root of my FAT32 partition I have a DVD and a CD folder. I have a valid ul.cfg and a nicely split game in the DVD folder. Yet OPL doesn't do anything with the drive when I plug it in. Also, what's SUPPOSED to happen if it recognizes my drive and the game list successfully? (I have usb on auto in opl).

If you could shed some light I'd greatly appreciate it, I just want to know what I'm doing wrong. Thanks for any help

The games themselves have to be directly converted onto the hard drive and not placed into folders. That could be one issue.

The other issue could be that your drive is partitioned instead of running a straight FAT32.

right, I did that with ISEKO's USB util 2.0. It converted the game but just to be sure, even so it needs to be put in either the CD or DVD folder, correct? (I'm going to grab a regular flash drive and convert a cd game to it and see if THAT pops up)

I got it to work. I put the game files in the root of the drive. Also I can confirm that partitioned drives work
