    Default ESR "Unknow Media in Drive" very often

    Hello Guys,

    I burned down 2 images of the same game.

    First with 16x speed , this worked fine in the first moment. But lagged in the film's. ESR noticed this at first time fast.
    Then one with 4x speed. This he cant read always "Unknow Media in Drive", tought cool, can play with the 16x burned anyway...

    But then he cant read both of the images, he only read them sometimes, cleaning them up like 20 times he noticed that they are know media drive

    What can I do?

    // edit

    I seen on my dvd burner, that my PC has a branding on his dvd burner there is DVD+R und DVD RW should i try to burn with a DVD+R? Should it be bad?

    If you're going to use DVDs, then they should be -R.

    You may also want to clean the lens on your PS2. This can cause media read errors or your laser could be going as well. Try cleaning the lens first and go from there!

    Yeh. Im using DVD+R works very fine to me.

    Clean the Laser? Could be a nice option, coz my ps2 slim is standing around without no use, does u have a tutorial how to, or what i need for it?

    Thanks.

    Go to your local electronics stores and buy a CD/DVD cleaning kit.

    For a Slim, you can use some rubbing alcohol and a Q-Tip.
