Default Free McBoot - Not enough free space...

it says in guides/tutorials to use an 8 mb memory card. I have a 8 mb memory card, and I formatted, and it says I dont have enough free space after I formatted. I never saw a MC higher then 8 mb in stores etc, is there a way to put fmcb on this card?

Maybe you have some unnecessary files on the FMCB installer pack, try checking that.
I don't know if you did a search but i found a 16mb Sony Memory Card for ps2 .Not sure if it was genuine though.

only played up to 4, so 5th one isn't there yet:p

I have a 120mb card for my saves. So they do go higher.

Nope, real sony cards don't get over 8mb.

The bigger the card the more time it takes to save games.

I have a 64MB memory card that is definitely not official, and it hardly works. Half of the time it doesn't even show up in the PS2 browser!

If FMCB is saying that there isn't enough space to install, then as someone else said, you probably have unneeded extra stuff in your install folder. Make a .zip or .rar of your FMCB installer and we'll take a look at it.
