Default ESR "Invalid Media in Drive" dont boot burned games

    Hello Guys.
I have installed the FMCB without any problems and patched the ISO I want to play with the ESR patcher.
Later I burned the same Iso with 4 other programs like IMAGEBURN, DVD Decrypter, ULTRAISO.
I insert the DVD program ist detecting.... 10 sec later : "Invalid Media in Drive"

    Some Informations:
    I have a PAL ps2.
My Ps2 version works with FMCB
    I live in Germany and use : EDEKA DVD+R 4,7 DVD'S
    Game Iso is already patched.

Try using a different brand of DVDs and make sure that they are -R and not +R.

What speed are you burning the image at?

    Also:
I burn them with 4x speed.
Does it really have to be DVD-R?

Because I burned a DVD+R at the moment right now and it works! *very happy*

You will get bad burns (coasters) way more often with DVD+r. Get DVD-r like Warlock said and you will be much happier. DVD-r are closer (as far as the laser reading the disc) to retail pressed discs than +r media. This will mean longer life span for your ps2 laser.

Someday, all things will die. LOL :D

Burn speed varies. Some say use half the max speed of the DVD being burned. Other will say to burn it at the fastest speed.

To answer your other question, it's either a bad burn, ISO and/or media.

HD loading is the way to go. You should look into OpenPS2Loader! XD

I Use TDK +R and burn on 1X or 2X speed just to be sure, i have the time. Verbatim are the best. Look at the serialnumber of your PS2. If it is SCPH 5.... or higher you can use DVD -R and DVD +R. When below you should only use DVD -R. Has something to do with the type of laser used in the older models.
    PS1 PAL Backup Method: Modchip { Retired }
    PS2 PAL Backup Method: FMCB
PS3 PAL Backup Method: True Blue V 2.7, MM 4.18.00
PS3 PAL Backup Method: Rogero CFW 4.40 V1.03, MM 4.30.00
    Finally a new CFW
