Thread: Official Showtime v3.1.126 - Real Plugin Support Added

Developer behind the wonderful homebrew application Showtime, Andreas Öman is back from his vacation, and bringing us some new updates to this Home Theater System. With the release of Showtime v3.1.126, included is the new online plugin repository, and several new languages translated. Yesterday, we reported that he has created Intructions for Translating Showtime into Other Languages. Today, he brings us "real" plugins, which means plugins that can be loaded and installed from an online repository, and he has already released documentation to get third party developers started on making their own plugins.

This allows third party plugin developers to rapidly develop plugins and make them available to the general public.
It's also possible to copy a plugin (which is just a .zip-file) onto a filesystem that Showtime can access and then just install the plugin from Showtime itself.
I've also started to write some documentation for how to develop plugins.

Does Showtime have a built-in update feature like MM? I'd rather update it through my PS3 then download and transfer the .pkg to my HDD. Personal lazy preference.

It doesnt atm, but hopefully its included in this update.

Why is it that some vids I have play from the normal XMB but not from within Showtime?
