Thread: PS3 Media Server 1.24.0 is released

The popular PS3 Media Server for all your streaming needs has been updated to version 1.24.0.





Right now the Linux and Windows versions are available, with the OS X build hopefully coming within the next day or two. Seriously, this time

For users who are upgrading from pre-1.23.0 you might want to read the 1.23.0 release notes and if you use the “media library / cache” option you should reset it.

awesome, love this program

but i still have issues reading mkv files
just tells me that the mkv file is not supported :/

I love the program as well and I've discovered the most oxymoron of a feature ever. PS3 Media Server will play MKV files flawlessly on an xbox console but not of the ps3, how backwards is that.

yeah im not really that worried to be honest
would be nice to watch show in higher quality, but ill never watch it again....

so meh

hi, loved this program.
started with 1.23 and one day just stopped working.
i run ubuntu 11.04 natty.
so i tried downloading 1.24 and running that but just like 1.23 it does not execute the file to run the program
anybody got any ideas ?

I haven't messed around with linux in a while but if memory serves me correctly they had a program called whine that is supposed to take .exe files and execute them like a .sh file so try that and see if it works.
