A - Its a 3.55 firmware but has a slight tweak which will soon allow us to play games.

2 - Requirements?
A - No requirements update from whichever firmware you have it will work.

3 - Psn working?
A - yes psn works perfectly.

4 - Do games work now?
A - Some psn games work have some patience as soon as backup manager are fixed you can play all games hopefully.

5 - Should i update?
A if you can live without games for somedays ok if not than stay there ,when backup manager are fixed than update but all depends on you.

A - i would suggest not touching it as its still in beta and you can encounter various bugs ,which may lead to brick.

A - Its a fake firmware posted over the internet sometime ago if you download it,will ask for password for password need to do survey if your able to open it there will be 3.55 official Sony firmware so its a big scam ,if there are any new legit firmware we will be there to report it so dont download any of them if you dont see in this section.

2 - What is required to run it?
A - You need to be on 3.55 official firmware.

3 - How do i run it?
A - Its very straight forward simply from the XMB

A - Only try it if your on firmware 3.55 if your on lower firmware and dont want to loose ability of playing backup games dont update at the moment.


8 - Why can it run manager and not games
A - Manager may come under homebrew category but games are under other,in order to run games dev need to patch lvl 2 with required syscalls , and patching lvl 2 is pretty dangerous as it can brick your ps3 ,so have bit more patience before someone comes with a way.But according to multiman we soon can play games on it but the ratio will be 3 is to 10 so its not a good move to update if you dont wanna loose complete game playing ability.

9 - What is signing tool and what can it be used for?
A - Singing tool is piece of sofware which can be applied to an homebrew and than that homebrew is allowed to be run on ps3 ,ps3 in normal mode wont allow you to run anything if it doesn't have the requirement which is the master key (signature key) .When developers use this tool on their homebrew ps3 will see the signature matching and will allow it in,which in the end allows user to use any homebrew made.

3.55 CFW

1 - What is 3.55 cfw?
A - Its an custum firmware made by KaKaRoToKS and it will only work when your on 3.55 ofw or else it wont.

2 - Can i go online on psn?
A - Yes you can go online on psn with 3.55 cfw.

3 - Will it allow backup managers and games?
A - Atm no KaKaRoToKS doesn't support piracy so it wasn't included.

4 - Do psn games work?
A - No none of them work excluding some demos.

5 - I am on 3.41 should i update?
A - No if you dont want to loose ability of playing jailbreak games,and once you update you cant go back to 3.41 so think before you update.

6 - When will be able to play backup games on cfw?
A - No one is sure of that it may take a week or month ,it depends all on the devs when they release it.

7 - What if i am on 3.55 should i try it
A - yea your free to use it but remember some users reporting that it takes away trophies and save data so make backup before trying,dont blame us than if anything goes wrong its your choice but i recommend not trying it as its pretty useless.
Update:if you use 3.55 cfw v2 no need for backing up trophies and save its fixed

3.41 Rebug 1.0.1

1 - What is 3.41 Rebug
A - It is an Custom Firmware built by Evilsperm and Cyberskunk and works on 3.41 without using dongle

2 - Does it allow psn?
A - No it doesn't allow psn

3 - Whats the use of it ?
It keeps your machine in both debug and retail mode.

4 - Can i run games?
A - Yes you can but have to jailbreak it and it has its on payload.

5 - What not to touch if i am not aware of it?
A - Never touch the debug settings which will appear if you aren't an developer

6 - How to return back to retail ps3 mode i.e 3.41 official firmware?
A -You can from the xmb itself no need for service mode unlike 3.55 cfw.

7- Whats your opinion on it?
A- If your a new user or moderate dont update as its also pretty useless atm,you can play jb games anyway if you have dongle so there's no point as it doesn't support PSN

it would be best to do when a the final version of CFW is released on 3.55

Sure ill built it in sometime,thanks for suggestion.

there are so many problems with jailbreaking and crap that it would just be best to wait for 3.55 CFW and there will be little problems to address
but when posting (im sure there will be a back up manager) you can include on how to fix any games that have black screens

A question from a newb here: Can someone explain exactly what the master key is, why it's a game changer, how is it related to CFW and (most importantly) why Sony can't do anything about it? I'm hearing those things, but I don't exactly understand why. Perhaps with some evidence cited if possible. I'd really appreciate it, no pressure of course.

ill give you simple example on key thing
When you have cheque book in order for anyone to withdraw money from your account using your check needs your signature on it or the bank wont accept similarly when something is made to run on ps3 like ps3 update it has a signature attach to it which tells the system yea i am this and this so allow me in when system see it matches the signature it allows it to run.Now when the keys are leaked anyone can make an homebrew and just apply the key,after you run it ps3 see the key matching so it allows it to run so barrier broken.Next Sony cant do anything about it atm as its very very complicated to block this kind of thing as the main roots are killed.When main roots of plants are cut they will simply die as lack of water etc.Now first they have to change the entire models by that i mean hardware built new hardware to block all this as its not easily patch through firmware update.
