The dongles are just like usb flash drives you have nothing big but inside they have developer boards which run specific code.Yes either buy them or use one of the devices i mentioned not all iphone are supported check tutorial section for that.the only reason people used jailbreak was to be able to play pirated games and not pay.After signing key came we in some days or week will no longer need these dongles etc and will be able to run the games just like we run mp3 song on our ps3.

i gotcha. so pirating ps3 games has been around, but you needed to jb it first. so really i should just hang out and not worry about jb'ing or updating. then all thats needed will be cfw right?

Yup thats it ,you may have to wait until someone comes with a way to let us play games on cfw or even official firmware if you cannot wait just get a dongle and play.Yup atm dont update, remain where you are its safe to update to 3.55 as cfw is supported but i would recommend be where you are as soon as game support is out simply update to the firmware supported and enjoy

will there pretty much be a guaranteed backup support for 3.55? im buying one off a friend with that firmware.

Its not guaranteed but everyone has hope there will be if cfw can run than there should be a way to run games just like psp days

sony cant stop it when psp day comes i just hope developers still make games for the ps3 still

say i jailbreak it with a purchased usb dongle. when support comes for games on cfw will my system still be good to update from the 3.41 to the cfw even though its jb'en?

yes jb yor system is temp meaning u have to keep jb it to use backups so your system is left untouched even if u do jb it ur still on ofw when u jb right now
