    Hasn't the PS3 got a media server built in anyway? In fact I know it has cos I use it. What is the difference with this new one?

    If you use Windows 7 or Vista you don't need a program cos it's built in.
    When I was on Windows XP I always used Tversity.

    it should have no problem playing mkv files

    yes... its awesome for mkv but i would recommend you connect wired and not wireless. i have used this program for about a year to stream all my hd content.
